Participating in sporting activities is a great way for students to have fun, make friends, challenge themselves and improve fitness and well-being. We encourage all students to take advantage of the wide range of sporting activities that are available to them. Skilled staff, parents and friends of the school assist students in all extra-curricular sports. In our larger codes we also benefit from having effective sports committees run by parents to help develop sporting opportunities for students.

Our inter-house sports competitions – school athletics day, swimming sports and cross country – promote a sense of belonging and involvement, and provide experience of being part of a team.

Those who excel at sport have the opportunity to compete for the school at various Waikato, North Island and NZ Interschool Tournaments and Events.

We offer over 30 different sports which cater for our students’ needs and interests. If you didn't see the sport you are looking for then we would like you to let us know.  In the last two years sports have been added to our offerings; led by students and what they love to do. This not only creates good leadership opportunities, it is good to be able to support what they do and the outcomes being achieved often far outweigh what would normally be expected. E.g. The Skateboarding team have managed, through submission to council, to get a $1.7million upgrading for Skate parks here in the Waipa region.  Read more...

PLEASE NOTE - No pay, no play policy. Sports fees need to be paid before the 3rd game of the season.
