Volleyball
With Volleyball proving to be immensely popular both in the Waikato region and nationally (second most participated secondary sport in NZ in 2025), Cambridge High School enters multiple teams in the regional competitions.
Junior Volleyball: Junior Boys and Girls teams are entered into the Waikato Junior Volleyball competition.
Senior Volleyball: Senior Boys and Girls (including Year 10's by invitation) teams play in the Waikato Senior Volleyball competition.
Players who get selected for either the Junior or Senior Premier teams may also have the opportunity to attend the Junior North Island Volleyball Championships, Senior Volleyball National Championships or the equivalent satellite tournament. Please do be mindful that these do come with an extra cost.
Fees: $80 to participate in the regional competition. Additional costs will be incurred if selected in a team that attends tournaments.
Practices: Practices are generally held either before or after school depending on which team a student is placed in. There is also the opportunity for those players interested to be involved in extra practices throughout the off season.
