We are proud to offer fifteen, ten, and seven aside Rugby to all our students.

Registrations for the 2026 Rugby season are now open (see below).

Cost: 

The $225.00 season fee per student applies to all teams except the 1st XV teams. To register for Rugby, you must pay the base fee of $225. Students selected for teams with the higher fee will be charged the remaining balance once team selections are confirmed.

Muster:

All students interested in playing 10-aside or 15-aside rugby during the winter season are invited to a muster at the CHS fields. Please meet outside G2/G3 on Thursday, 19 March at 3:30pm.

Girls Rugby – Pre‑Season Opportunities

Weights Room Training
The CHS weights room will be available for personal training on Friday mornings from 6:30–7:45am, starting Friday, 20 February. These sessions will be supervised.

Pre‑Season Fitness & Skills Sessions
Join us on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30–5:00pm, starting 18 February, at Tom Voyle Park (corner of Taylor Street and Memorial Park) for fitness and skills development.

Boys Rugby – Summer Skills & 1st XV Information

Summer Skills Sessions
Training will run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30–6:45pm, starting Monday, 9 February, at Memorial Park.

1st XV Trial Eligibility (Years 11–13)
Students wishing to trial for the 1st XV must attend the summer skills sessions or contact CHS Rugby at rugby@camhigh.school.nz to ensure they receive all squad selection information.

Please note that, in line with School Sport NZ’s ‘Balance is Better’ guidelines, summer sport commitments should remain the priority during Term 1. We offer multiple trials/opportunities to provide flexibility, and students are not required to attend all trials if they have important summer sport commitments. If a student has a scheduling clash, we encourage them to contact sport@camhigh.school.nz so we can help them navigate this.
