Netball is one of our most popular winter sports and has a proud history at Cambridge High School.

We offer teams that compete locally in Cambridge as well as in the Hamilton competition, ensuring players at all levels have access to the most suitable and rewarding playing opportunities.

The season runs through Terms 2 and 3, with trials held in Term 1.

We always welcome and value parent support in roles such as coaching, managing, and umpiring. If you are able to assist in any way, please get in touch

Practice Times: 

All teams train one to two times per week, with training times set by the coaches after team selections are finalised. We also offer social teams, who may choose not to train and simply turn up on game day. This option gives flexibility to students who prefer a more casual approach.

Seniors (Years 11–13)

Juniors (Years 9–10)

• Wednesday, 18 March — 3:30pm–5:45pm, CHS Gym

Fees: 

The $160 season fee per student applies to all teams competing in the Cambridge competition. Teams entered in the Hamilton competition will be charged $180, and the Premier team fee is $340.

To register for Netball, all students must first pay the base fee of $160. Students selected for Hamilton or Premier teams will be invoiced for the additional balance once team selections are confirmed.

Uniform:

New netball students will need to purchase a CHS netball dress (approximately $80) to play. These will be available for purchase through Kindo.

Please note that, in line with School Sport NZ’s ‘Balance is Better’ guidelines, summer sport commitments should remain the priority during Term 1. We offer multiple trial dates to provide flexibility, and students are not required to attend all trials if they have important summer sport commitments. If a student has a scheduling clash, we encourage them to contact sport@camhigh.school.nz so we can help them navigate this.
