Hockey at Cambridge High School caters for a range of ages and ability levels, and we offer the option of both social and competitive teams.

Hockey is played in Term Two and Three on weeknights either in Hamilton or at St Peters.

Our competitive players are encouraged to pursue Waikato Representative teams. Our U15 Boys, 1st XI Boys and 1st XI Girls teams also attend Interschool Tournaments.

Practice Times:  Practice times are after school, and the times and days are determined by which team the player is in. The venue for training will also be dependent on the team.

Fees: The season fee is $285.00 per student for all teams except the 1st XI Girls and Boy, which have a fee of $350.00. To register for Hockey, all students must first pay the base fee of $285. If a student is selected for a 1st XI team, the remaining balance will be charged once team selections are confirmed.

Uniform:  All playing uniform is provided.

Gear Required:  The player MUST provide their own mouth and shin guards. They are a requirement to be permitted to play. They also must have their own stick. Hockey Sticks may be available to hire for the season if cost is preventative to a student playing.

For players trialling for 1st XI, 2nd XI, and U15 Gold (A)

• Every Thursday starting 13 February: 5:30-7.00pm at St Peter’s. Please do not arrive before 5.20pm.

These sessions are designed to help you get trial‑ready.

Trial Dates are TBC but will take place in March.
