Thank you for your help

Teenaa koutou ki te whaanau o Te Kura Tuarua O Te Oko Horoi,
Dear parents and caregivers of Cambridge High School,

I wanted to reach out today to say a massive thank you to our community for the support you have shown over the past few weeks as we get up and running, particularly with the challenges we have had with the rollout of the new uniform. We have had members of the community, staff and the Cambridge Community House come forward with donated items of clothing to help bridge the gap between delivery dates for the new items. It has really made a difference to our students and is very much appreciated.

I have been in regular contact with SAS, and they want to provide an apology and an update today on the stock situation. Please see the message below from Tim Connolly CEO, SAS Sports.

We are aware of the challenges some people have faced with this handover and SAS have worked hard to address the issues and restore the supply, including air freighting in stock and increasing the shop’s opening hours. The updated shop hours have been posted on our website for future reference and are as follows:

Saturday 7th February – extended hours from 9am to 3pm

Normal hours then resume of Tuesday and Thursday 2.30pm - 5.30pm and Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm.

Kind regards
Ngaa mihi ki a koutou

Subject: A Message to the Cambridge High School Community

Dear Parents, Caregivers, and Students of the Cambridge High School Community,

As a proud partner of Cambridge High School, we are writing to you today. We want to begin by offering our sincerest apologies for the recent uniform supply issues. We know that the delays and sizing problems have caused significant frustration for many of you, and for that, we are truly sorry. We take full responsibility for the impact this has had.

Our partnership with Cambridge High School is something we value deeply. It has always been our goal to be more than just a supplier; we aim to be an active supporter of the CHS community. This commitment is why we have established a dedicated local shop to provide better access, and why we proudly support your school leaders with their blazers and your sports teams, coaches, and managers with their kits.

The transition to this new uniform was a complex process. Part of the handover involved careful negotiations to ensure the best outcome for the school and the community, especially in this challenging economic climate. We reached an agreement on timelines and the phasing out of old stock that was designed to have no financial impact on the school and allow us to offer generous support to CHS families.

Despite our best intentions and planning, we made a forecasting error on our part which led to the current supply shortfall. We want to assure you that we are working tirelessly to make this right. Our teams are working extra hours, and we have been air-freighting stock where possible to speed up delivery.

We also want to provide a clear timeline for the remaining items:

All Junior School uniforms will be delivered to the shop for pick up this Saturday, 7th of February.

The remaining Senior School uniforms are being produced with the utmost urgency and are expected by early March. We are already working with the school to provide interim solutions for all affected senior students.
We value our relationship with your school and look forward to seeing the students, leaders, and sports teams looking their best as they represent this wonderful community. We are incredibly grateful for the patience and understanding you have shown.
Sincerely,

Tim Connolly
