Kia ora koutou,
First of all I’d like to thank you all for your patience as we work to roll out a new uniform for our school.
We understand the delays have been frustrating and we appreciate your patience as we work with our uniform supplier (SAS) to understand the current situation and best support the delivery of uniform items.
We have been in regular contact with the suppliers over the last week and, unfortunately, it has become apparent that not all pre-ordered uniforms will be with families this week.
Due to the delays, the Uniform Shoppe has offered the following solution.
All families who have placed an order which is not yet available can redeem a free t-shirt with a Cambridge High School logo on it, to wear until their order arrives. You will be notified when they are available. The t-shirts will match the size shirts you pre-ordered and are yours to keep.
What to wear to school this week
Due to the supply challenges, for the subject change and course confirmation days on Wednesday and Thursday this week, students can wear tidy mufti if their order has not yet arrived.
A reminder that Year 12 and 13 students start Thursday with assemblies at 9am followed by course confirmation until 12pm at the latest. Students can go home when their course confirmation is completed.
On Friday January 30, only Year 9 students at student leaders will be at school all day. The day starts with a poowhiri for Year 9 and new staff, gathering at 8:50am at the front of the school. Parents are also welcome to attend the poowhiri. If you have your uniform, please wear it then. If not, please wear the t-shirt replacement which will be available to pick up at the store. You may also wear an old uniform or old polo if you have one available. Please wear plain, dark coloured shorts, skirt or pants on the bottom.
Based on stock updates from our uniform supplier, we expect all Year 9 students to be able to be in uniform by the end of next week.
Stock update
To help manage demand and ensure the Uniform Shoppe can support as many students as possible, they have implemented a limit of one shirt or blouse per customer effective immediately.
They currently have three shipments scheduled to arrive at the end of this week and early next week. In addition, the factory is working intensively to dispatch further garments by the end of this week, with the aim of fitting out more students by the end of next week.
They expect all junior students to have uniform by the end of next week and expect to fulfil all outstanding orders by the start of March.
When can I pick up my uniform or free t-shirt?
The Uniform Shoppe at 14 Wilson St sets its own hours and is open on Wednesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 29 from 2pm to 5pm and Saturday, January 31 from 10am to 2pm.
They are also open from 2.30pm to 5.30pm on February 3 and 5, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday February 7.
The store will contact families directly about their pre-orders.
We apologise for the disruption to the start of the year. Thank you again for your patience as we continue to support SAS in getting the items to you as soon as possible.
Nga mihi nui
