Mr Richard Carter

Business Manager

Mr Carter is married to Brenda and they have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren.

For many years Mr Carter was involved with the importing and distribution of milking equipment, and then changed direction to take some time off with Brenda for travel of the holiday type rather than for business. From the profit environment to the not-for-profit environment saw a move to Sport Waikato as Operations Manager, and now to Cambridge High School. Both these roles have similar responsibilities and budgets, but within quite different environments. Over the last seven years he has been on the board of the Waikato Chamber of Commerce, and a judge for the annual Westpac Waikato Business Excellence Awards

A  major focus of the Business Manager role  is to enable the school (and hence teachers and support staff) to achieve more from the available resources through maximising entitlements, implementing more efficient systems and processes, negotiating cost savings, and identifying  new funding streams.
