Shakespeare is alive and well at Cambridge High School.
This group of students is proving that, having been chosen to head to the Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand drama national competition, which was in Wellington on May 30.
Lachie Good, Harry Parsons, Grace Quinn-Foster, Cooper Hughes headed to Wellington as actors, while Olivia Rozbicki and Georgia Ball were there as crew.
Led by CHS teacher-in-charge of drama Larissa Peters, the group's path to Wellington started at the South Waikato regional performed three scenes, all student-directed.
One scene won and will be performed in Wellington. It was a five minute excerpt from Shakespeare's Hamlet.
Georgia directed a scene from Romeo and Juliet and Olivia Rozbicki a scene from Othello.
