International Support

At Cambridge High School, we are proud of the service we give fee-paying international students and their families. We give caring, individual attention and accept responsibility for the welfare of students at school and in their homestay. The school is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International students - see www.minedu.govt.nz/goto/international for a copy of the Code.

International Students at Cambridge High School are the responsibility of our Manager of International Students who provides academic, pastoral guidance, support and assists students with their day-to-day needs.

The Office Administrator assists students with health and travel insurance, banking and renewal of student visas.

The Homestay Co-ordinator organises homestays with Cambridge families, to provide a caring and supportive environment for students.

The Dean of International Students is responsible for academic guidance and welfare at school, including placing students in class, helping them with their learning and providing counselling. Counsellors and Deans are available to assist all students.

The ESOL teachers provide tuition in conversational and academic English and preparation for New Zealand (NCEA credits) and overseas (IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC/City-and-Guilds) studies.
