CAMBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL
2007 SCHOOL UNIFORM
Cambridge High School is a uniform school and students are required to wear their uniform neatly and completely.
The school will take action when grooming and dress are unsatisfactory. Clothing is to be named. All uniform items are to be as sold by the Uniform Shop. The wearing of incorrect uniforms will impose a uniform detention, possible confiscation of the incorrect article, or the student sent home to return with the correct uniform. If a tee-shirt is worn beneath a shirt it must match the shirt in colour and be plain. Year 13 students may continue to wear the conventional uniform, i.e. Year 9-12. Boys are to be clean shaven. No jewellery is permitted other than a watch. No visible body piercing other than one plain stud or sleeper in each ear. Hair is to be tidy and conventional in style and colour. Makeup and nail varnish are unacceptable
GIRLS
Summer Uniform
· Tartan skirt
· White over blouse - short sleeved
· Jersey with school crest
· Plain flat heel black or brown (tidy) sandals (NO socks with sandals), OR black leather lace-up or buckle up school shoes (not suede or patent or slip ons) worn with optional Cambridge High School white socks, natural coloured pantihose or melatone footlets
· Regulation school cap only. Any headbands must be white, black or navy blue
Alternative Uniform
· Navy polo shirt with crest (Not for year 9s)
· Dress shorts (only available from Student Shop)
· The blue polo is no longer an option for Yr 9 in 2007 and will be phased out for all girls. The white blouse will now be able to be worn with the skirt or shorts
Winter Uniform
· Tartan skirt as above
· White blouse – 3/4 sleeved (N.B. shirt is designed to be worn out, not tucked in). This will be phased out in favour of a long sleeved blouse
· Jersey with school crest
· Tights in navy or navy pantyhose or melatone footlets
· Black leather lace-up school shoes, flat- i.e. no raised heel (not boots or suede)
· Optional - jacket with school crest
· Optional - polar fleece jacket with crest
· Optional - school tie
· Optional - Cambridge High School scarf or a plain navy scarf
Year 13 formal uniform
· Navy skirt
· White blouse, long sleeved (N.B. shirt is designed to be worn out, not tucked in)
· Tie
· Grey jersey
· Optional – polar fleece jacket with crest
· Black leather lace-up school shoes (not suede or patent)
· Tights in navy or navy pantyhose
Year 13 non formal
· White polo shirt with crest
· Dress shorts (only available from Student Shop) or navy skirt
BOYS
Summer Uniform
· Navy walk shorts, approved length and size
· Navy polo shirt with crest
· Belt must be plain black leather only
· Jersey with school crest
· Plain black or brown (tidy) sandals, no socks in summer OR black leather lace-up school shoes with long navy walk socks pulled up
· Regulation school cap only
Winter Uniform
· Navy shorts as above OR navy trousers
· Navy polo shirt with crest OR long sleeved polo shirt with school crest
· White shirt is no longer an option
· Navy or long sleeved polo may be worn all year
· Jersey with school crest
· Belt must be plain black leather only
· Navy long socks with garters (i.e. pulled up)
· Plain black leather lace up school shoes - not boots or suede
· Optional – adventure jacket with crest
· Optional – polar fleece jacket with crest
· Optional - school tie
· Optional - Cambridge High School scarf or navy blue scarf
Year 13 formal uniform
· Navy dress trousers
· Long sleeved white shirt
· Tie to be worn all winter
· Grey jersey
· Plain black leather lace up school shoes - not boots or suede
· Navy long socks with garters (i.e. pulled up)
Year 13 non formal uniform
· Navy shorts OR navy trousers
· White polo shirt with crest
Physical Education
· PE shorts and coloured house shirt. CHS track pants and jacket may be worn
ALL STUDENTS
P.E. Uniform
· White sole or sports shoes which will not mark the floor should be purchased from retail shops. Track suit pants, navy blue, may be worn during the cooler weather.
· All students must change for Physical Education. The uniform for P.E. is available solely through the school and may be purchased at the beginning of the year.
