Due to the retirement of our Head of Special Educational Needs department we have a vacancy for the beginning of the year, 2020. The department has an outstanding reputation in our community, with a proud history of providing a high quality of support for our students with educational needs. We are seeking an experienced SENCO to lead our team consisting of 3 full time and 3 part time teachers and 10 teacher aides.
The successful person in this role may be required to teach up to 6 hours per fortnight. The role comes with 2 MUs 2 MMAs.

From the start of the 2020 school year, we are seeking a full-time permanent teacher with the skill set to teach in our Senior Home Room.
The successful applicant will be an integral member of the Student Support Services team.  This will mean they will have the opportunity to take on extra responsibility, depending on their skill set.  These may include but are not limited to co-ordination of Te Kura programmes, oversight of the health support programmes in association with our counsellors, possibly supervision of literacy programmes and supervision of teacher aides.  Release time would be allocated if these became part of the position.
